Fully Submitted to the Lord
Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.
1 Corinthians 3:8
This is bottom line. At the end of your life, the real you will come out. What you have really done for Christ. That is where you may suffer the loss of rewards. What was the intention of your heart? Why did you do it, so people could praise you and lift you up? You will receive nothing for that. It will burn in the fire. Only what you do for Christ will last, period, nothing else.
If you are always getting glory from people, they are lifting you up, then it is just a matter of time. You are going to trip, fall and be destroyed. The gifts and talents God has given to you, He is going to take away from you. There will be no more anointing in your life. The anointing of God is what keeps us moving.
It takes a lot of work, prayer, studying, reading and waiting on the Lord, to be used effectively by Him. God speaks to people through your life. They may come to you with questions but they are coming to receive from Him. They want to know what God has to say in His Word. You are the instrument. You are the vessel. That is the bottom line.
God will use your life wherever you are. He can do great things in your life, privately and publicly, when you submit your life fully to Him. When you fully submit to Him, you will be rewarded when you stand before Him.
God will be glorified in the punishment of sin as well as in the reward of obedience.
