"I don't understand why more isn't said about Japan" by Michael James Stone

GOD HELP ME

I don't understand why more isn't said about Japan; and why more aren't caring, praying, saying and talking about a tragedy we should be; we could be; we must be to concerned about. We are the ones God put here to make a difference; to have a solution; to share the answer to be the ones who would stand in the gap; when Japan is being driven to it's knees.

Don't give me a spiritual platitude or make me feel good worship tape unless you are feeling as though the fact is we just don't given a damn and We as the body of Christ; care more about what the body of Christ wears in Scripture worship and praise then the wholesale tragedy that is occurring with people Jesus died for.

Pardon me for Exhortation Today; But WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT JAPAN?

I don't care if your his hands and his feet or even his bank account.

I want to know

Are you His Heart?

Hey Prayer Chainer Spam maker; What about Japan?

Hey Scripture bot; bible app; How about Japanese children?

Hey Political Christian Trash Talk radio; Can we have equal time for God and his Love and Mercy for those who are dying?

Hey people

Can we Pray for Japan?

Or should we just tell that nation to Go to Hell

and forget what Jesus said.

IN as much as you've done it to the least......

WHAT ARE YOU DOING FOR JESUS ABOUT JAPAN?

-Michael James Stone-

Last Call: Mike MacIntosh "I hung around with a lot of worthless men, and we'd all just sit around in the daytime with a case of beer and get drunk"

The Last Call Devotions Network

Today's Devotion

From Mike MacIntosh

Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valor, but he was the son of a harlot; and Gilead begot Jephthah. Gilead's wife bore sons; and when his wife's sons grew up, they drove Jephthah out, and said to him, "You shall have no inheritance in our father's house, for you are the son of another woman." Then Jephthah fled from his brothers and dwelt in the land of Tob; and worthless men banded together with Jephthah and went out raiding with him.
Judges 11:1-3

I dropped out of high school when I was a senior. I hung around with a lot of worthless men, and we'd all just sit around in the daytime with a case of beer and get drunk. I realized as I got a little bit older that, you know, sitting around drinking just wasn't where it's at. And it may be possible that you've got worthless people around you that are pulling you down.

Jephthah came along and we see that these worthless men banded together with him. I want to encourage you to get the worthless people out of your life. And the easiest way to do that is for youto get out of their lives. They'll keep hangin' around you as long as you let them. So don't allow them to "band together" with you. Paul said numerous times to "flee," and that's exactly what you may need to do today.

"Flee sexual immorality" (1 Corinthians 6:18a).

"Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry" (1 Corinthians 10:18).

"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness" (1 Timothy 6:10-11).

Now remember, it may not be the "huge sins" or the "vile sinners" in your life that are causing you harm (like they were for Jephthah...and for me). It may be people in your life who cause you to gossip, or lie, or tell raunchy jokes. You need to flee from those people. So, my prayer for you is that you will have the courage to get those things and those people out of your life. Take time today and pray to the Lord, asking Him for help. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the strength to get away from certain people who are bringing you down. He's got something better in store for you just around the corner.

"But we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you withdraw from every brother who walks disorderly and not according to the tradition which he received from us" (2 Thessalonians 3:6).

Israel's Navy Seizes Ship Filled with Arms on Way from Syria to Egypt

David Hocking

By Dr. David Hocking
Hope for Today

by Aryeh Ben Hayim (Arutz Sheva News)

This afternoon, the IDF announced that the Victoria, a German owned, French operated and Liberian flagged vessel, was apprehended 200 miles off the Israeli coast by the IDF Navy. It was carrying arms from the port of Latakia in Syria to Alexandria in Egypt via Turkey. The IDF Navy fighters, in an operation reminiscent of earlier ship seizures, met with no resistance. The assumption is that the arms were intended for the Hamas in Gaza and would reach them via the smuggling tunnels between Egypt and the Gaza Strip.

The ship and crew have been towed to an Israeli port for continued questioning and inspection. 3 crates of arms were found on the deck and the inspection of the remaining hundreds of crates in the ship’s cargo is expected to reveal that this was merely the tip of the iceberg.

Brigadier General Avi Bnayahu, the IDF spokesperson, said to Israel Army Radio “apparently we will find more evidence of the Iran, Syria, Hezbollah axis”. The official announcement claimed that there was no Turkish involvement in the shipment, provoking speculation that Israel was cautious not to further inflame its troubled relations with the AKP Islamic Party government of Turkey.

The IDF pledged to continue its intelligence and operational activity to protect Israeli security and prevent an arms injection that would empower terror in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.

The MInistry of Foreign Affairs announced:

"This attempt at smuggling large amounts of weaponry aboard the Victoria provides additional proof of Israel’s imperative need to examine all goods entering the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip. Israel cannot allow weapons and military equipment to reach the hands of terrorists, who will use them against its civilian population".

Last Call: Everyday Answers "Go with God's Flow"

Go with God's Flow

March 15
Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever]. [That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to God’s Law; indeed it cannot. So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him. But you are not living the life of the flesh, you are living the life of the Spirit, if the [Holy] Spirit of God [really] dwells wihin you [directs and controls you].
—Romans 8:6-9A

God’s Word makes it clear. If you follow the carnal mind—the natural, unregenerated mind—it leads to death. But if you are spiritually minded, which means the Spirit of God lives in you and you heed what He tells you to do, you are alive and you walk with God.

The choice is yours. You can travel down the river of least resistance and let the undertow pull you wherever it wants. Or you can choose to go with God’s flow. We call that walking in the Spirit, or living the mind of Christ.

I have several suggestions for teaching you how to flow in the mind of Christ. The first is to develop positive thoughts. For many people, that doesn’t happen naturally. It’s easy for your mind to sink to the lowest level and think the worst of people. Instead, you can train yourself to think positively. “Do two walk together except they make an appointment and have agreed?” asks Amos 3:3. If you walk with Christ, you can think Christ-like thoughts. You can see the good in others and lift them up.

Think of Jesus, who was betrayed by His disciple Judas, was lied about by the priests, and was denied by Peter—yet He never turned negative or bitter. He was always the One who said to people, “Go on your way and from now on sin no more” (John 8:11). In the midst of those voices that cried out, “Crucify him,” He prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do” (Luke 23:34a).

Because the mind of Christ is positive, whenever your thoughts turn negative, you can be sure you are not going with God’s flow. You’re not operating by God’s power or His Spirit.

Think of it this way: God wants to lift you up and help you focus upward toward the heavens; the devil wants to press you down so you’ll focus downward toward the earth.

A second thing you can do is to remind yourself that you are loved. Jesus loved you so much that He died for you—for you. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him]. . . . In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us” (1 John 4:7, 10).

Sometimes you may need to say to yourself, I am loved. God loves me because He created me. There is an old saying: “God never created any junk,” and that means that everything He created was good—including you. If you focus your thoughts on God’s love, you will never go astray.

When I first began Joyce Meyer Ministries, God told me to teach the people that He loves them. Too often, we miss this obvious message in the Bible. We look at our imperfections and ask, “How could God possibly love me?” God looks at each of us through eyes of pure love and asks, “How could I not love you? You are mine.”

No matter how often you have failed or how weak you are, God holds out to you the wonderful assurance in the words of Paul: “For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 8:38–39).

That’s the message: Nothing can separate you from God’s love. The more you meditate on God’s love for you, the more easily you will flow in His love.

Pray this...

God, I want to walk as close to You as I possibly can. Help me keep my mind on healthy, positive things. Remind me that I am loved—totally and completely loved—by You, and help me to go with Your flow. In Jesus’ name, I pray.  Amen.

Last Call: Biblical Leadership "Are you a “System Thinking” leader? (165-2)

The Last Call Devotions Network

Are you a “System Thinking” leader? (165-2)

Written by Barry-Werner on March 15th, 2011. Posted in JeremiahLeadership PrinciplesOld TestamentPrioritiesSkillsSystems Thinking.

System thinking leaders are keenly aware of how actions in one part of their organization affects outcomes in other parts of the organization. Read Jeremiah 44:11-30.

The remnant of the Jewish people left in Judah after Babylon captured the fortified cities in Judah, including Jerusalem, felt they needed to flee from Judah to Egypt. Jeremiah clearly told them this was against God’s plan but they decided to go to Egypt anyway. When the Jewish exiles arrived in Egypt, they refused to stop worshiping idols. Ultimately, the practice of idolatry by the Jewish people further angered God and led to Egypt’s defeat by Babylon. The practice of idolatry and the fall of Egypt may seem like isolated events but they were intricately connected.

The systems thinking leader is constantly asking how the processes and actions of one part of an organization affect other parts of the organization. They draw out the lines from every decision determining to insure no adverse effects will be felt by other parts of the organization now or in the future. System thinking leaders are able to see relationships, patterns of change, the subtle interconnectedness of every part of the organization.

There is nothing mystical about system thinking. Leaders are not born with the ability to see interconnectedness and relationships of the affect of a decision. System thinking leaders develop the skill the same as they develop people skills or budgeting skills. System leaders have simply trained themselves to ask a couple of basic questions before moving forward on the decision. The following will help you start with the very basics:

  • If systems questions aren’t natural, build them into the process of implementation; make systems questions the first step in building a timeline.  Simply ask, “If we do this, what will it look like six months from now?”
  • Another very simple technique is to use the pictorial organization chart as a visual reminder. With your team in the room point to the box identifying the different departments or divisions and ask the question, “If we move on this decision, will it have any affect, positive or negative, on these department/divisions?”

Ephesians 4:15-16 “Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”

Genuine Imitations

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy . . . having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!—2 Timothy 3:1–2, 5

An oxymoron basically is a figure of speech that combines contradictory terms, like “jumbo shrimp,” “virtual reality,” “friendly fire,” and “found missing.” Then there is one of my favorites: “fresh frozen.” You might go into a restaurant and ask, “Is this fish fresh?”

“It is fresh frozen,” the server will say.

“Well, is it fresh?” you will ask again.

“It is fresh frozen.” Why don’t they just tell you that it is old?

Then there are other classic oxymorons, like “exact estimate” and “airline food.” We can add “genuine imitation” to that list as well.

The idea of genuine imitation is what Jesus conveys in a story known as the Parable of the Wheat and the Tares. Prior to Jesus’ return, the devil effectively will flood the market with cheap imitations of the real thing. In fact, there will be so many genuine imitations that people will have a difficult time distinguishing the true from the false.

Why will the devil do this? Because it is effective. When it is revealed that a so-called Christian has been living a double life that is a complete contradiction of his or her profession of faith, some people might think, Well, that person is a hypocrite, so I am not going to be a Christian either. I am going to turn my back on this. They are all just a bunch of phonies. They fell for the devil’s trap.

So according to Jesus’ parable, there will be many in the last days who believe—and many who will fake belief. They will sit side by side in the same churches. They will sing the same songs. They will read the same Bibles. They will say the same things, to some degree. But in reality, these people are never really believers to begin with.

Biblical Prophecy Today: Perspectives In Prophecy "Where Dwells Satan?" By Patrick Heron

Perspectives In Prophecy

Where Dwells Satan?

 By Patrick Heron

A few months back, I read an article written by an aged and well respected member of the community of prophecy writers. I do not know this man personally, but I could tell from his writing that he was a solid, God loving person who had stood on the Word for much of his life.

I spotted something in his essay that I thought was an obvious error with regard to the topic he was writing on. It was no big matter, just one of those small things that one might have pointed out to him by a friend as a possible oversight. Now, I love the truth of God’s Word. I am fully aware that I do not have all the answers and I also know that no other mortal, past or present, has full knowledge in matters spiritual. “Now we see through a glass darkly”, as they say. Only one man has all the answers and he got out of here almost 2,000 years ago and has not returned as of the time of writing.

So if I am in error on God’s Word, and a fellow believer can point out my error, and show me from the Bible, chapter and verse, where I am clearly wrong, I will gladly admit my mistake and embrace the new light of truth which is so evident to behold. That is, I have no problem changing my Theology if I can be convinced to do so from Scripture.

With this in mind, I wrote a note to the elderly gentleman stating where I believed he was wrong and offering what I thought to be the correct interpretation. I did this in the spirit of truth and brotherly love. To my surprise, the scholar wrote back and said that he had been preaching this particular doctrine all his life and he was not going to change now! I was shocked. As I pondered this in bed some nights later, the glaringly obvious answer came to mind: “You cannot put new wine into old bottles.”

Sad but true. Unfortunately, many long-time Christians have allowed their beliefs to become traditions and doctrines which they hold despite being exposed as being opposite to what Scripture plainly teaches. What I am about to write about now may be an example of one such topic.

You see, I was taught over 30 years ago that Satan and one third of the angels that rebelled with him were kicked out of Heaven because of their insurrection. This occurred thousands of years ago and the Devil and his horde of ner-do-wells having been living and wreaking havoc on planet earth ever since. But is this what Scripture teaches?

Revelation 12 tells of a war that, many believe, proves that Satan was ejected from heaven all those years ago. Let us see what it has to say:

“And there was war in Heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the Dragon; and the Dragon fought and his angels.

And prevailed not. Neither was their place found any more in Heaven.

And the great Dragon was cast out; that old serpent, called the Devil and Satan which deceives the whole world: he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him.

Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea, for the Devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, for he knows that he has but a short time.”  Rev. 12:7-9, 12

The difficulty with the Book of Revelation, in my opinion, is that it is not written in chronological order. In this chapter alone we have past, present and future and sometimes all in the same sentence. But I believe this war is still future and Satan and his princes are yet to be deposited on earth in the coming Apocalypse. The clue is given in verse 10:

“And I heard a loud voice saying in Heaven, Now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God, and the power of our Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night’.

That’s the Authorised KJV. The NIV renders the last phrase thus;

“…For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.”

The ‘brethren’ or ‘brothers’ here are believers. That is, they are born again Christians of the ecclesia or Church of God and Body of Christ. And Satan, who is the accuser, appears before the Throne of God day and night, rehearsing our sins and throwing them in the face of God. So Satan has access to Heaven and the City of God. In fact, I believe he and his entourage reside in Heaven. How can you believe that, I hear you say? Let us go to the letter which is the pinnacle of the epistles addressed specifically to the Church of God; Ephesians.

“Blessed be the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.” Eph. 1:3

The Greek for ‘heavenly’ here is epouranios which is better translated as ‘heavenly spheres’ or ‘the heavenlies’ or ‘heaven’. This word is used five times in Ephesians. To get a clearer understanding of what exactly it means we go to verse 20 of the same chapter.

“Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised him from the dead, and set him at His own right hand in the heavenly places.

‘Places,’ is in italics in the KJV to tell us that this word was added by the translators and is not in the original text. But we all know that Jesus ascended into Heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. This tells us exactly what the Greek word epouranios  means. It is speaking of Heaven. Now look at Ephesians 3:10 which is speaking of the Devil and his angelic evil mates.

“To the intent that now, to the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God.”

We can drop the italicized ‘places’ here for it was added. So this verse tells us that the ‘principalities and powers’ that is, Satan and his mob, are in Heaven. Not yet convinced? Here is a verse we are all familiar with.

“For, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”epouranios : heavenly spheres or the heavenlies or heaven).

So just as God raised Jesus from death and set him at His own right hand in Heaven, so too the Devil and the rest of the fallen angels, who are the rulers of the darkness of this world, are also in Heaven.

I know that the Devil is the god of this world and that he goes up and down like a roaring lion seeking whom he might devour. But he is a spirit being and he, and his princes, can flit between Heaven and earth in a flash. But it is plain and obvious from the above quotes that they reside in Heaven.

Perhaps we need to get a different idea of what Heaven is. When you read the description of the New Jerusalem in Revelation 20, the various stones it is made up of are known to us. We know what sapphire and emerald and jasper are. An amethyst and chrysolyte are known stones to us. We know what gold is and the streets of this city are made of such. The river of life flows through Mount Zionand the Tree of Life is there and we know what trees and rivers look like. All these are “physical” things (although Heaven is a spiritual place).

Revelation 19 tells us that Jesus will return on a white horse with an army of his saints riding at his shoulder. So if there are horses in Heaven, one would presume there are fields of grass and stables, perhaps. So maybe Heaven is a place somewhat similar to our earth.  Perhaps the City of God is in one place and Satan and his angels reside some distance away just as I am writing this inIreland and many of you reading are in the United States. But the Devil has access to the Throne day and night where he accuses the brethren. But not for long. For, there is soon to be a war in Heaven. Not a battle, a war. And when that happens, the Devil and his angels will be cast down to the earth just as John tells in Revelation 6:13;

“And the stars of Heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.”

When Jesus said, “I beheld Satan as lightening fall from Heaven”, this was a prophetic utterance. He was speaking of the future. The Devil and his cohorts will fall to earth just as the fallen angels who manifested before the eyes of mankind back a thousand years before the flood as recorded in Genesis 6. But for now, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities and powers and the rulers of the darkness of this word, against spiritual wickedness in Heaven.
