Passover/Easter Week (1): Simple Time Frame

The Passover Week

Using the Bible as a timeline, we can know exactly what transpired during this week. First of all, in order to understand the activities during the following days, you need to know that the Jewish day starts and ends at six o'clock in the evening, while our day starts and ends at midnight. However, their daytime begins at six o'clock in the morning and it was referred to as the "first hour."

SUNDAY

· Jesus rides into Jerusalem. Matthew 21:1-11

· He cleansed the temple. verses 12-13

· He healed the sick. verses 14-16

· In the evening He went back to Bethany (2 miles east of Jerusalem on the east slope of Olivet)

MONDAY

· In the morning He cursed the fig tree. Mark 11:12-14

· The rest of the day was spent in the temple teaching:

1. The authority of Jesus Matthew 21:23-27

2. The two sons verses 28-32

3. The wicked tenants verses 33-46

4. The marriage feast Matthew 22:1-14

5. The tax question verses 15-22

6. The resurrection verses 23-33

7. The great commandment verses 34-40

8. About David's son verses 41-46

9. Woes against the Pharisees Matthew 23:1-36

· Leaving the temple, Jesus outlined the future. Matthew 24:1-39

1. The ten virgins Matthew 25:1-13

2. The talents verses 14-30

3. The coming judgment verses 31-46

· Judas contacts the authorities. Matthew 26:14-16

TUESDAY

· Discovery of the withered fig tree. Mark 11:20-26

· Back to Jerusalem and the Passover meal. Matthew 26:17-19

· Jesus did not do any public teaching this day.

· In the evening, the Passover meal. Luke 22:13-20

· Jesus exposed Judas. Matthew 26:21-25

· Late that night, they went to Gethsemane. verses 30-36

· The battle intensified for Jesus. verses 37-46

· During the night Jesus was arrested. verses 47-56

· Jesus was taken to the court of the Jews. verses 57-68

· The denial of Peter. verses 69-75

WEDNESDAY

· At 6:00 A.M. Jesus was taken to Pilate. Matthew 27:1-2

· Judas commits suicide. verses 3-10

· That morning Jesus is tried in the Roman court. verses 11-25

· Mid-morning Jesus was sentenced and whipped. verses 26-32

· At 12:00 P.M. He was crucified. verses 33-45

· At 3:00 P.M. Jesus died on the cross. verses 46-51

· Jesus declares, "It is finished!" John 19:30

· Jesus was buried. Matthew 27:57-60

· By His stripes, sickness was dealt with. Isaiah 53:3-5

· By His blood, sin was dealt with. Hebrews 9:11-15

· Jesus was faithful. Hebrews 2:9-18, 3:1-2

THURSDAY - FRIDAY - SATURDAY

· Then Jesus went to paradise. Luke 23:39-46

· Jesus stayed here for 3 days & nights. Matthew 12:40

· The Hebrew word for the place of the dead is "sheol", it consisted of two compartments. Luke 16:19-26

· Jesus was not tormented; He was preaching! I Peter 3:18-20, 4:6

The body of Jesus was in the grave from Wednesday night through Saturday. Remember, a Hebrew day runs from 6 P.M. - 6 P.M. (24 hours).

SUNDAY

· Sometime early Sunday morning, He arose! Matthew 28:1-10

· The same Spirit that raised up Christ also dwells in us. Romans 8:11

· That day Jesus went to heaven to present His blood. John 20:11-17; Hebrews 9:11-14

· Jesus returned to the earth (John 20:18-31) to deal with the devils. Colossians 2:14-15

AFTER THE RESURRECTION UP TO THE ASCENSION

· Jesus stayed on the earth for 40 days. Acts 1:1-3

· What Jesus told Peter, He is telling us too. John 21:12-17

· Jesus ascended to heaven 40 days later! Acts 1:9-11

· Jesus took all the Old Testament saints out of paradise. Ephesians 4:8-10

· Seven days later the Holy Ghost came. Acts 2:1-4

Passover health: Matzoh, soup and family

For Jews, Passover is somewhat like Thanksgiving: Families and friends gather to eat a lot of food. This holiday, commemorating the exodus of the Jewish people from slavery in Egypt, begins tonight and lasts for eight days, during which observers do not eat any leavened bread or various grains. Some traditionally also avoid beans, corn, and other starches.

The Passover meal - called a "seder," meaning "order," - traditionally happens on the first night, during which participants go through a series of symbolic foods representing elements of the Passover story. Some families have a seder on the second night also.

Some seder foods carry health benefits. And one, perhaps the best known of the seder elements, may cause some digestive issues.

Matzoh, which Passover observers eat to symbolize the Jewish people fleeing their homes without enough time for their bread to rise, is actually quite constipating, although no one knows exactly why. There's only about 1 gram of fiber per piece of matzoh, so it's certainly not helping in that area. But dried fruit, thought to be an antidote, is also kosher for Passover, notes Joe Regenstein, professor of food science at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. "As long as you drink enough water and eat enough fiber to move things, you’re probably OK," says Dr. Lisa Bernstein, assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine. There is also whole wheat matzoh available, contributing to good carbs and healthy fats, she says.

Matzoh ball soup: A 2009 study in the American Chemical Society's Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry showed that chicken soup, otherwise known as "Jewish penicillin," may have medicinal properties. Researchers gave proteins from chicken legs' collagen to rats. In the rats used to model hypertension, blood pressure went down, researchers said. This line of research is credible and may explain the benefits of this "Jewish penicillin," Regenstein said.

Charoset, a paste made of apples and nuts, symbolizes the mortar used to make the pyramids in Egypt. Walnuts are high in omega-3 fatty acids, Bernstein notes, which have been shown to be good for your heart, vision, and even memory. If this is your first seder and you are allergic to nuts, though, make sure to steer clear.

Family, as with any major food-focused holiday, is a big part of Passover. There are always some issues with that - dealing with relatives you haven't seen a long time, making sure everyone gets along - but for most people, having the family reunited is a positive thing. A 2002 review of research on family routines and rituals, published in the Journal of Family Psychology, found that family rituals, including Passover and Thanksgiving, contribute to stability in stressful times. These, as well as routines such as a family mealtime, are linked with everything from academic success to children's health and strong family ties.

Hoy ha sido el noveno año de sesenta en el Reino de Dios. Mientras que el Cielo había venido a la Tierra se reunió con el Infierno en la Tierra.

El mundo había caído, literalmente, de la sartén y el fuego.

No quedaba nada cuando el mundo comenzó de nuevo.

Fue dado a luz en un reino, pero lo que había sido antes, como una placenta, estaba muerto e inútil. Ya no era necesario para el nacimiento del "nuevo".

Poco a poco el mundo mejor que nunca.

Los resultados fueron sesenta y nueve años después, la nación de Yisra'el estaba bien en su camino hacia la recuperación.

Esa fue la buena noticia, la mala noticia fue no quedaba nada de lo que el hombre había hecho.

Todos se había ido.

Estados mentales y emocionales de supervivencia todavía moverse a donde deben estar, pero sin un marco de referencia, las memorias eran en su mayoría de pesadilla. Algunos estaban aprendiendo a seguir con su vida, otros sostuvieron que las ideas del Viejo Mundo.

El mundo exterior en la Tierra de un continente todavía estaba cambiando.

Como ocurre con casi todos los días, un gorrión volvió a visitar. Era de mañana. En la madrugada del pajarito llegó a una ventana abierta como para escuchar. Tal vez sólo vine a buscar comida, tal vez para participar en alguna manera.

De cualquier modo le miraría a los doce jóvenes y viejos, en total, alrededor de una mesa larga. No era demasiado pequeño y no era demasiado alto, y algunos podrían haber dicho, era justo.

El cuadro fue de baja a la tierra para los ocupantes reclinado o cruz SAT-patas. Nadie se quedó dormido, pero todos estaban relajados cuando llegaron. O al menos nadie se había quedado dormido .... Todavía. De haberlo hecho, podría haber habido unos cuantos asistentes que han disfrutado de la idea de que alguien se quedó dormido mientras estaban allí. Tendrían que "ayudó a despertar."

Hasta ahora esto no había sucedido ..., pero tampoco.

El gorrión era un personaje. Parecía más como un estudiante que un pájaro. No he dormido bien.

Sin duda prestó atención. Parecía genuinamente interesados. A veces los estudiantes parecían más como el gorrión.Parecían decididos a buscar por todas partes excepto donde se encontraban. A menudo, el ejercicio de la conversación, que parecía menos interesada en los momentos de donde estaban, de lo que se va a hacer.

Bird cerebro o cerebro humano hay momentos en que era difícil ver la diferencia.

El pájaro, probablemente hubiera resentido ser llamado "hombre de cerebro".

Como el pueblo reunidos en el lugar de reunión, el gorrión era siempre el primero en llegar. Aterrizó el exterior, despierto y atento. Alegre y más bien Chipper, con una ventana abierta frente a él, era una invitación obvia para entrar

Así que el pájaro lo hizo. No hay duda, por su parte, sólo se hizo a la casa.

El pájaro se hop hasta en el alféizar de la ventana.

Mientras espera que se lanzaba la cabeza de un lado a otro, moviendo de un lado a otro, para ver a los recién llegados entrar. Alcance hacia fuera, el pájaro de ojos cada actividad. Vio cómo cada persona que iba o venía en la reunión de mañana.

Ser águila ojos por uno tan pequeño fue ciertamente divertido, pero sí aparece en alerta .... Para un pájaro.

No hubo nada particularmente notable en la pequeña, sólo el hecho de que se presentó cuando todos se reunieron. Estaba siempre allí, nunca se perdió. Nada raro de por sí, salvo que el pájaro sabía cómo mirar a los ojos.

En las reuniones de mañana, el pájaro, un gorrión, con una serenata a los recién llegados, ya que escuchados en uno o dos a la vez. Canta una canción de los gorriones hacer, nadie sabía las palabras a nombre de esa melodía.

Pero lo hicieron disfrutar de las notas brillantes del repertorio del pájaro podía cantar. A veces, algunos de los asistentes silbaba una canción en el pájaro.

O al menos que antes.

La primera vez que el pájaro no dejó de cantar y se quedó mirando.

El gorrión tan pequeño como parecía que estaba creciendo en estatura mientras miraba fijamente a la de silbar. Ya no lanzando su cabeza o torcer el cuello, el ave se mantenga como muertos sartén una mirada como nadie había visto nunca.Una mirada en el que silbaba a él. En cuanto a las aves en el ojo, casi se podría imaginar que la persona silbando había dicho algo estúpido y el pájaro se umberance con él.

Tal vez lo hizo, nadie sabía con certeza.

Ellos simplemente no pitó cuando el ave cantaba ya se aplaza a la pequeña.

Esta mañana, el ave cantaba sin competencia.
