Life Lesson
We should base our beliefs about the Holy Spirit on the Bible alone.
Most Christians know they should look to the Bible for their beliefs about salvation, heaven, and other important spiritual matters. In light of this, it amazes me how much of our beliefs and practices concerning the Holy Spirit are not Biblical. Both the denying of the power of the Holy Spirit and the unhealthy focus on the gifts of the Spirit are not biblically balanced.
As we explore God's Word together, we see what the Book has to say about this sometimes controversial subject. I am committed to teaching this in the clearest way possible from the Bible. We should allow the Bible to speak and the Holy Spirit to teach so that we can live in the fullness that God has designed for us
Dear Lord,
How many times have I turned to worldly counsel when I should have gone to Your Bible. Please forgive me for that. Please make me wise and give me discernment for life as I commit myself to daily time in Your Word. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
