An Open Letter to Pastor Rick Warren ~ Bible Prophecy Today.

Two Popular people.

Two Opinions.

I get challenged by the WAY people disagree. Often they use the Worlds ways and means to vent or view disagreements and this is delegated to the realm of: If you are in the Public, you deserve it.

I disagree.

The Bible says, if you have ought against your brother, go to Him in private. If I do, then I have God to work for me.

If I don’t I have man to thank for the divisions I cause when I could just as easily disagree, without personalizing MY POV on another.

We CLAIM it is to save the sanctity of our religion, or PROVE our point of view is correct, but Jesus never did it that way.

Can I say that again? Jesus never did it that way.

He was direct, and he was directed. He said that he must be about His Fathers business, and so he did. He didn’t care who agreed or who did not, He allowed God to handle that part.

His mission was to complete the task He was sent to do.

I like Jan Markell. I like Rick Warren.

I wish they would talk TO each other rather than AT each other. Not because I think they will agree, but because that is what Jesus would do. He was personal. He was real. He addressed the personal issues of his accusers directly.

In fact, He asked the Sanhedrin, why do you accuse me by night when you could come to me by day?

I think this “Open Letter” is such a Case. It is not expected to be answered and I would rather when a person SAYS they are addressing a person, they don’t stoop to the World and it’s ways to make a point or get a “media buzz”.

I support Jan Markell’s ministry and I will go to Rick Warrens church this summer on a Sunday to hear a typical message. I suspect I know the results and I will post a result of my visit and likely say as I have in the past over other “senationalized” accusations.

My question to you, or Jan, or Rick, or anyone you use on the Web to promote your position, do you GO TO the person?

Do you Follow Up the accusations?

Are you willing to go along with the crowd when they say;

“Crucify Him, Crucify Him”

Just because you don’t like the Way God is using someone?

In America Today...

I post this here, because I do love this Country. I am glad God chose the was to be born for such a times as this, but also such a place as this:

God Bless America

Land that I Love

Stand Beside Her

And Guide Her

Through the Night

With the Light From Above

It is easy to be Super Patriot now days. We are spoiled, so we can say we are the greatest and attest to our own greatness. I don’t. I see the good and the bad we are……, and I still Love my Country, though one day I will leave it behind.

It is a good place.

It has served me well.

I have prospered and used that prosperity to both draw closer to God, and farther away from him. At times I have been distracted by my countries need, when God alone, and only alone could repair the mess I have made of this country.

I have influenced the World for the betterment of Mankind while living here, and I have worsened the world by my examples I have set.

In my success I have achieved much for God, and only he can see all I have done. He knows well my failures and those things I did I thought were right, but were not.

I have known the ire of my friends, the fire of my enemies blows, and the fight to stay true to the faith I say I have in the Land of the Living as I see the home I am only a part of a short time I live here.

I have shamed myself at times seeking acclaim, and not admitted to the humility I so dearly needed to see clearly, but in every occasion when need must prevail above all that I am, I have answered the call.

I am every American.

I can stand tall right and wrong and say,

“While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that’s free,
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer. “

God Bless America,
Land that I love.
Stand beside her, and guide her
Thru the night with a light from above.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans, white with foam
God bless America, My home sweet home.

Men Of God

Laodicea: the Plastic Church ~ Bible Prophecy Today

I read this post a few times trying to get a handle on it as I thought about it more and more I realized it was subtle, but there is a growing discontent among Christians who want to "perfect" the church, then let the prefect perfect the body of Christ.

That is Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

I read this:

Look at the phenomena within the church world that has occurred in our lifetime. There has been one fad after another. Religious television and the mass media take each fad and exploit it to the extreme and then we watch it fade. Notice how “fads” turn into “fades.” Jim Bakker and PTL was one of the first fads that I remember. Then, we had “The Prayer of Jabez,” the “God Chasers,” TBN and Paul Crouch, and then Rick Warren and his “Purpose Driven Life” phenomena. These are nothing but religious fads with short lives.

I was a little surprised.

I think it is marginalizing in a negative way what God used in a positive means.

Did people get saved by the Thousands in each of those cases above?
Are those Ministries all gone? Or are there people who can say they owe a Thank you for the time they were there?

I don't particularly choose to be a part of some ministries, but I do not doubt in any way shape or form, while I may be beyond some of those minstries, If God Chooses To Use a Jack Ass, he can do so I will admit it ten years later as easy as I do at the time of it.

People are not saints, but God makes people fit for his use and that is not by our being Righteous, Good, Or Holy. He uses unfit people so he can declare who did it, He Did.

PTL even in the midst of it's excess, was used by God.
The Prayer of Jabez, a rather amusing "wind of doctrine", was also used by God to help some who needed it.

TBN is still around, and frankly so is Paul Crouch.

I am glad Jesus doesn't let us pick and choose who he can use.
I would not be saved otherwise, nor would most of Southern California Hippies and Baby Boomers because theology off or on, Calvary Chapel was birthed by some unusual peoples....Lonnie Frisbee comes to mind.

I don't see a perfected saint in the Bible after meeting Jesus anymore than I expect to meet a perfect ministry as I can scripturally eat anyone for breakfast if I wanted to make a kosher diet of the Body of People Jesus died for.

We are all sinners, before and after grace.

But the Men God uses, and Judges, and even sets up and causes to fall, how dare we descry even one if a soul is saved from hell.

I think Jesus would confront all of us on our sacred cows of theology because being on fire for him in love, as we were in the Jesus Movement, was not about WHO was Wrong and Who was right, but it was ALL About Knowing Him.

It was all about Jesus.

And you know, the more I read posts, the less I hear about Him.

Maybe that is Laodicean after all.
