Obama Admin.'s Birth Control Mandate Becomes Hot Topic on Easter Talk Shows

By Napp Nazworth

The Sunday morning political talk shows featured several religious leaders for Easter Sunday. In discussions over the intersection of church and state, the controversy over the Obama administration's birth control mandate became a hot topic. Several religious leaders said the issue is about religious freedom, not women's health.

A sign posted by an atheist organization in Illinois to counter a Christian display meant to celebrate Easter has been stolen by an unknown party.

Jarrod Scarbrough and Les Sewell are traveling from New Mexico with their daughter Allegra to participate in Monday's Easter egg roll on the lawn of the White House. And while they're enjoying the event, they hope to lobby President Obama on the issue of gay rights and what they consider to be discrimination in the workplace.

With the heightened tension over race issues swirling around the death of Trayvon Martin at the hands of George Zimmerman, two media figures have now been fired, at NBC and National Review, over their handling of the story.
