So great is the wealth of data about the Sun now being sent back by space missions such as SOHO, STEREO and the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) that scientists back on Earth can struggle to keep pace. To combat this data overload, scientists from the Visual Computer Centre at Bradford University are developing advanced imaging tools to help scientists visualise what's happening at the Sun, make sense of the data and predict the extreme solar activities that could affect our life here on Earth.
An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 hit near Cilacap in Central Java on Tuesday, the Indonesian earthquake monitoring agency said, adding that no tsunami warning had been issued.
Prime Minister's Office officials deny report in Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida claiming Israel intends to recognize a Palestinian state with temporary borders as well as recognize eastern Jerusalem as the Palestinian state's capital.
More than 1,000 homes were evacuated as murky flood water crept into hundreds of yards and even some houses. If the levee breaks completely, many homes will be left uninhabitable. Sandbagging wasn't an option _ the river, spurred on by 10 inches or more of rain since last week, simply rose too quickly.
A tornado destroyed 50 to 80 houses and killed at least one person in an Arkansas town on Monday and floods caused at least three deaths in the state as storms continued to lash the region, authorities said.
NATO troops in Afghanistan said they had killed a Saudi described as an "Al-Qaeda senior leader" and their number two most-wanted insurgent in the country.
German cyber-security expert Ralph Langner, who helped unravel the Stuxnet virus, told a global audience in March that the worm could be used as a weapon of mass destruction against targets in the West. At the end of his presentation on the subject, Langner arguably seemed to hint at the possibility that Israel is part of the danger, although in correspondence a few months ago he named an unspecific "hacker underground" as the possible villain.
Emad Mikhail, the Christian governor of Qena, has been dismissed from his post on Monday by the Egyptian interior minister Mansour Eisawy, according to Al Arabiya’s correspondent in Egypt. Thousands of Egyptians have been protesting for many days demanding the sacking of Mr. Mikhail and two other provincial governors who had served in the police force of deposed President Hosni Mubarak.
President Obama is known to regularly issue statements about important holidays, especially Christian ones. For example, both he and Michelle delivered one this past Christmas. So it is interesting that the president failed to issue any sort of message or proclamation for Sunday’s Easter holiday. ...The president did release an Easter statement last year, but it was heavily criticized after it referenced Jews, Muslims, Hindus, and people of no faith at all.
Syrian troops backed by tanks have moved into the flashpoint town of Daraa, killing at least 25 people, witnesses said, as Damascus was accused of choosing the military option to crush dissent. The Syrian army, however, insisted it had been invited into the southern town at the request of citizens to hunt "extremist terrorist groups".
Shell Oil Company has announced it must scrap efforts to drill for oil this summer in the Arctic Ocean off the northern coast of Alaska. The decision comes following a ruling by the EPA’s Environmental Appeals Board to withhold critical air permits. The move has angered some in Congress and triggered a flurry of legislation aimed at stripping the EPA of its oil drilling oversight.
Police in Poplar Bluff, Mo., ordered the evacuation of some 1,000 residents amid concerns the town levee could breach at any time. On Monday, water from the rain-swollen Black River was already pouring over the top of the levee, threatening about 500 homes in the town of 17,000 people about 150 miles southwest of St. Louis.
Hot, dry weather returns to Texas this week, whisking away the limited relief scattered thunderstorms brought to firefighters in parts of the Lone Star state over the weekend. In a trifecta of potentially bad news for fire crews, the Texas Forest Service said a low-pressure system will push temperatures into the 90s, humidity to 10% or less and winds up to 45 mph on Monday and Tuesday.
Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi has approved the use of his country's air force in Nato's Libya mission. Italy was ready to allow its jets to take "targeted military action", he said in a statement. Earlier, a Nato air strike badly damaged buildings in Libyan leader Col Muammar Gaddafi's compound in Tripoli.
China and the US will hold economic talks next month as the two countries work towards reaching a common ground on currency policy. The US has accused of China on keeping the value of its currency, the yuan, artificially low in order to help its exporters. China has said that a sudden rise in its currency will be detrimental not only to its export sector but also to its overall economy.

Three died as flood waters swept their cars off the road in the state's north-west, while two people died in a small town, possibly hit by a tornado. Meanwhile in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, 17,000 residents are hoping a levee holds and prevents major flooding.
The US has warned its citizens to leave Syria, as the government of President Bashar al-Assad intensifies its campaign against peaceful protests. The state department also said some non-essential embassy staff and all embassy dependants would be leaving. The UK says it is working with its partners on measures against Damascus. The US is also considering santions.
Most Egyptians are in favor of annulling a peace treaty with Israel, according to a Pew Research Center poll released on Monday. The US-based think tank polled 1,000 adults throughout Egypt between March 24 and April 7, finding that only 36 percent would maintain peace. The percentage of Egyptians who support annulling the treaty (54%) does not vary amongst those who sympathize with Islamic fundamentalists and those who do not.
In an interview on Monday in the Sydney Morning Herald, Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister Ahmet Davutoglu issued a warning for Israel as a second Gaza-bound flotilla is planned. A fact-finding mission of the UN declared that this … is illegal."

TAKE IT SERIOUSLY
EVERYONE at "The Biblical Christian Digital Network" takes News seriously. You should to. Serious enough to realize that ALL NEWS and ALL NEWS SERVICES are biased and opionated. That is a fact; that will not change no matter where you get your news or read it from.
IT IS INHERENTLY OPINIONATED.
This is News for some but there is no such thing as Fair and Balanced or Fact news.
When human beings are involved it means we all see things differently at times. News outside of America admits it is biased; News in America in the last 75 years has tried to "market" the idea of "journalistic integrity" when since before America became a nation it has been the venue of News to express opinion. Often as in media, owned and operated by "Newsservices" for political reason.
It is up to you what you see; what you hear and what you understand.
The Only Facts For a Christian is The Word of God.
You control what you see; Be Carful how you read a story. You control what you hear; Be careful what and who you are listening to. You control what you understand; be mindful of God to direct your understanding.
In all things remember; you control how you act upon them; don't react to them.
