Are God And Allah The Same? Follow Up
Q. Your answer to this question was accurate except you made the statement that God does beget and the Son was begotten. This is incorrect. The Son, as spoken in the book of John, has always existed as part of the Trinity. The word “begotten” should more accurately be translated as “unique” or “One of a kind”. I know you didn’t mean to state that Christ was begotten by the Father but you left that impression. This is the same mistake that a lot of people make, thinking Christ didn’t exist until He became flesh.
A. In Psalm 2:7 (KJV) God said, “Thou art my son. This day have I begotten thee.” The Hebrew word is yalad and is always used in reference to child birth. Obviously the Father was speaking prophetically to the Son in reference to Him becoming human.
The Greek word translated begotten in John 3:16 is monogenes. It appears 9 times in the Bible. Six times it’s translated only begotten, 2 times only and 1 time only child. It’s always used of children in relation to their parents.
While the Bible clearly shows Jesus to be the eternal Son of the Father, he is also the only human with a biological mother who can claim God as His father. Even Adam, who is called the Son of God in Luke 3:38, had no mother and therefore was not begotten. Thus Jesus is the only begotten son of God.

Saved By Faith
Q. Many Jews before Christ were counted worthy because of their faith. But after the Cross no one comes to the father except by Christ. History tells us there were some really astute scholars that have been a blessing to the enrichment and enlightenment of the Jewish people in the last 2000 years. But no matter what, those Jews will not be allowed into the Kingdom will they?
A. When Jesus said, “No one comes to the father except through Me” (John 14:6) He wasn’t saying anything new. It had been this way from the beginning. Faith in the promised redeemer who would make atonement for the sins of the people was always central to God’s plan of redemption. In Old Testament times this faith had to be evidenced by obedience to the Law, but without faith their obedience could not save them (Hebrews 10:8 and 11:6). The primary difference between the Old Testament and the New is that the Redeemer has come in the form of a man and has a name. In Acts 4:12 Peter said, “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.”

Could This All Happen Again?
Q. Lucifer, a beautiful creation (at that time), a cherub of the throne of God and yet in all the perfection of heaven, sin was found in him, now we who have lived our earthly lives in nothing but sin and saved by the grace through faith of Jesus, will enter into Heaven’s perfection . Will there be a chance sin could be found in any of us? Or will all evil be destroyed when Satan in cast into the lake of fire.
A. All sin originated with Satan’s rebellion. Angels who followed him did so at that time as well. There hasn’t been another rebellion in Heaven, nor is there any indication that other angels have changed sides since. The seven thousand years covered in the Bible chronicle the Lord’s plan to reverse the effects of sin. My guess is that when all is said and done all sin will have been purged from heaven and earth, and we’ll enter an eternally pure environment that no one will ever contaminate again.
