Okay so I am 16 and I am a ‘christian’. But recently I decided that I didn’t like the christian religion nor did I believe in HELL. I feel Hell is just something to make people scared and believe in religion so they don’t go to hell.

I just believe in god (and love god) and believe that jesus is my savior. I don’t really go to church unless it is christmas or easter and sometimes I will read my teen bible. am I a bad person for changing to this or what?

I mean I would NEVER tell my family because they raised me a christian and they would just assume I was an atheist (which I am NOT)

So I decided to take the name tag off of me and just let myself be a believer in god and jesus. Because personally I think it is RIDICULOUS what mankind has done to religion. There are hundreds of different religions which believes in the SAME thing but they just interpret it differently.

SO no more name tag- does this mean I am ‘GOING TO GO HELL’ or what?

I am just really confused.

God isn't confused.

He chose you and you know that because you read it in the Bible.

You chose to read the Bible and to believe in Jesus so I don't think you are confused. I think you are fine. You chose to follow Jesus.

Jesus felt like it was a little RIDICULOUS what people were aying about his Father and what people had to do to Find God, basically, he said ask, seek and find and you did.

So what's up with that? Nothing, you found what all of religion is about.....finding God.

Now that you know him, as you read, as you follow Jesus, you'll have God speak to you personally. He will. Just like he made you "feel" when you got saved.

It will seem like the most natural thing to do, whatever He is telling you to do. Others might want you to do alot of things you don't want to do, but you know what? Say a prayer and ask God to be there and if he isn't, you go Do what Jesus want you to do and you'll be fine.

We all learn differently, but God is our teacher and He will lead you and as you keep reading, in time, you will know exactly what is peaceful, perfect and right for you.

Till then, it may get confusing at times, But God is with you.

Remember that,

I am a gay Christian. What do I do?

Question posted on Yahoo! Answers: I’m gay and am Christian. I have tried so hard to pray to God, counseling, etc. and nothing works! I still have gay tendencies! Why isn’t God healing me of my sickness? What do I do? I don’t want to go to Hell, I’m so scared!

When you asked Jesus to forgive you of your sins, you confessed you were a sinner and could not stop sinning. Remember that?

Remember when you closed your eyes and asked the Creator of the Universe to take over your life and lead you?

How did you feel back then when you realized God the Father so loved you He gave his only Son for you and promised he would never leave you nor forsake you?

What was it like the first time you realized you had the Holy Spirit to comfort you and to lead you as well as teach you how to read the Bible daily?

Was it fun when you read your first psalm, your first proverb, the book of John?

I can tell you for me it was just like yesterday and I have been saved for 35 years and I still sin.
I admit, I am getting better, but you know the bible says everyday we are sinners until the Lord Jesus takes this body I live in away.

When He does, we ALL will be perfect.

Till then, in time, day by day, God promised he would work on us till one day HE would present us, present you, to his Father faultless.

You will suffer, as he promised we all would, but one day, when it is time, your tendencies will be to rejoice,

That once you were lost, now you are found, was blind but now you see.

You will. You'll See. It just takes God time.

What causes so many celebrities to self-destruct? Many celebrities are talented and intelligent people. What causes them to make such foolish decisions that destroy themselves and their families?

   Human beings are not worthy of worship, nor are we psychologically/spiritually designed to receive worship. When a celebrity is “worshipped,” and does not deflect that worship to God, it causes damage to that celebrity’s soul.

Answers: What do you think about this? ok recently i have been coming closer to god and have been learning by reading the bible everyday….but im scared….like of friends leaving me because there always going out and ill be at home trying my best not to leave into the “world”…i’ve been there already and learned that you always have this empty feeling in you…(well from my experiences) but i want to change its just really hard and i’ve asked god to help me be stronger…..i’ve changed music to christian but all around me there just seems to be parties and people going crazy.

The aspect of growing up is daunting, but it is called growing up. You already know the answer because you have questions and doubts about the party hearty till we die routine and you already have made some changes.

When I was a child I spoke as a Child;

What do you want to be? Really. Look around, you can see the end better than Old Folks like me can and you know where your Old Friends are headed if not already there....,

They are stuck in the muck.

You aren't are you? You have started a direction that seems stumbling, fumbling, even grumbling at times, but you know yourself you don't want to go back.

Is Jesus’ payment for sin more like a business transaction than a gift?

Question posted on Yahoo! Answers: Jesus paid for my sins, but there’s a catch. I have to devote myself to him.

Doesn’t that defeat it’s power as a gift? — I mean, it’s more like a business transaction now.

The gift is eternal life, salvation is the cost of the Son of God purchasing you from who you sold yourself to.

He doesn't have to give you eternal life, though he saved you from your sins, the choice is yours to continue in them or find out that the only real freedom is constraint.

Love constrains you to choose to Obey out of intimacy and tenderness, not devotion to a cause or religion.

Jesus said, I pray Father that they may know me and know you and I am in you and you in me and I pray they may be in us.

Trinity is a way of explaining what God is in relationship to Father, Son and Spirit.

As far as God is concerned, he said I am and left it at that.
The rest for "core" you can read I John and figure it out from there.........
