Iran expanded its fleet of home-made fighter jets

Commander Highlights Iran's Defensive Might

A senior Iranian commander on Saturday downplayed enemy war rhetoric against the Islamic Republic, mentioning that Iran's enemies are unable to put their threats into action due to the country's high preparedness and defensive power.

"The enemy is well aware of our defensive power and will never be able to exercise its threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran," Commander of the Iranian Army Major General Ataollah Salehi said on the sideline of a ceremony to test five new home-made fighter jets.

Iran expanded its fleet of home-made fighter jets after five more domestically-made Saeqeh (Thunderbolt) fighter jets joined the country's Air Force fleet Saturday morning.
