One Thousand Years: Genesage "Ready or Not" (Chp 5:7)

One Thousand Years

Genesage

"Ready or Not"

(Chp 5:7)

Everyone knew what had happened.

No one wanted to admit it.

No one hadn't heard that there was a to be a “disappearance,” a rescue, an abduction if you will.

The rapture as they who left had called it.

Everyone had heard words like “harpazo” “Natzsal” “rapturos”. Great fun and expense had gone on to make fun of those who said the World was going to End.

Well, it hadn’t Ended, but it felt like it.

SO MANY SCHOLARS had detailed how it couldn’t happen, wouldn’t happen, shouldn’t happen. Since it did happen, there were a few that secretly were glad because now a decision was made for them. Or so they assumed.

Now we can focus on the Second Coming…they said.

Again it was always they said rather then I say,

thought Tom.

And then there was the great revival, the ones who had heard the truth and now were making a commitment…,

Yeah right,

thought Tom.

That didn’t last long.

A few screams and that was over with.

Oh it had sounded so righteous back then.

The Pastors and Teachers, the Scribes and the Priests everyone was all together now on the bandwagon to stop the rise of some antichrist and prevent the eventual battle against Israel and slaughter of so many.

Even now it sounded stupid to Tom as he chomped down hard on the bread.

Someone forgot the delusion. Someone forgot the lie. No one expected to be deceived. Everyone thought they were so prepared.  So ready to resist. So ready to insist to follow God.  So ready they fell right into the pride of thinking that this wasn't too late.

It was easy to believe what people told you when no one who really knew the Truth was left around to defend it.

There were isolated instances, but not as many as everyone expected or said would occur. People began to postpone making any decisions playing the “wait and see” card.

When disasters killed them,

Tom thought,

it was just like before the “rapture”. Some believed and were saved, most did not. And God knows some were dumb enough to survive.

Tom concluded as he said out loud,

“And here I am.”

Oh the Jews tried, they kept saying what was going to happen. They warned how the Gentiles had blown it just like their forefathers.

Now was the time for the Jew to come out from among the peoples.

Separatism led to suspicion. Suspicion led to anger. Slowly those who said they knew better began to look to blame again one people for all the woes that might or might not be coming.

After enough rhetoric and no real answers it was easy to simply ignore the religious and follow into the prosperity technology had brought.

When the time finally came, almost no one saw it coming.

Self-delusion had finished her work.

Truth was the First Casualty in the Great Tribulation.
