John 21:3-6
"Simon Peter said to them, 'I am going fishing.' They said to him, 'We are going with you also.' They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then Jesus said to them, 'Children, have you any food?' They answered Him, 'No.' And He said to them, 'Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.' So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish."

Life Lesson
God wants to divinely interrupt our lives.
This life lesson is a truth that we need to be reminded of over and over. God wants to take an active role in our lives. We all get busy - too busy with what we want instead of what He asked us to do. The Lord has told us to love one another. The Lord has told us to serve one another. That takes a challenging commitment to the physical and spiritual well being of one another. Can helping one another out for a few hours each week really change our lives? My challenge to you is... try it and see. Seeking after empty promises of fulfillment, 'looking out for number one', will rot your soul in the way candy rots your teeth. Jesus tells us to give our life away so that we may find it. Throw your net on the other side and see what happens. Be what you believe. You may find your life divinely interrupted, and you will never, ever be the same again.
Dear Lord,
Thank You for Your love, Your grace and Your mercy. Just as You are active in my life, I want to play an active role in the lives of others by encouraging them; loving them and serving them. Let my eyes not be blind to the needs of others but grant me dim vision of my own wants. I pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.
