How do religious Jews date? Why do married Jewish women cover their hair? Why can't a married couple touch each other during certain times of the month?

Ever wonder what it's like to live the life of a religious Jewish woman? I interviewed Allison Jospehs today from 'Jew In The City' , a website that answers questions about Jewish lifestyles and explains why Jews do the things they do in religious observance.

From her website: Some have called her an Orthodox Carrie Bradshaw. Others say that she's the next Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis. Allison Josephs (a.k.a. Jew in the City) doesn't focus much on comparisons, she simply wants to re-brand Orthodox Jews and Judaism. Both have gotten a very negative reputation over the years due to isolated scandals that have made the headlines as well as movies, books, and TV shows that have repeated and reinforced misconceptions and stereotypes about religious Jewish people and their lifestyles. (The hole in the sheet, anyone?)

Allison's website, Jew In The City lets her answer your questions about intimacy, modesty, holiness, and the inner goings-on of a Jewish woman. Allison has also written, directed, and produced several videos for Aish.com and is a regular blogger on ModestlyYours.net. Her articles and blogs have appeared in The Washington Times, World Jewish Digest, Aish.com, and The Jewish Star. She is also the Torah study partner for Mayim Bialik, the actress who is famous for her 5 year run show called, 'Blossom".
